Crown Royal is a blended Canadian whisky in production since 1939, celebrating King George IV and Queen Elizabeth's visit to Canada. It is currently owned by Diageo, and is the top selling whisky in the United States.

Crown Royal Special Reserve Whisky was first introduced in 1992, and is aged for a longer period of time than its original peer. Once it matures, it is blended to produce a special reserve. It contains a greater rye and batch based whisky than other blends, which gives it a spicier aroma and increases its creamy smoothness. Its aroma includes honey, sherry, dry and tropical fruit, spearmint, nougat, black tea, cocoa butter, brown sugar, honey coated pine nuts and melon.
